Room Hire

Hire charges for rooms are available from the main office upon request. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements further.

Room size: 18 x 14 metres (59’ x 45’11”)

The Hall is extremely spacious and easily accommodates a range of events amongst which can be included: Wedding celebrations, Dances, Concerts, Plays, Art shows, Horticultural shows, Exhibitions of models, Parties, Sport activities, Dog training and Book fairs,  the variations are endless! 


Fire certificate maximum numbers in the Hall – 300.
Our suggested numbers are: 300 maximum seated in rows for a concert / show / talk – 210 maximum for a dance with some tables and chairs (the more tables and chairs you put in the smaller the dance space and the smaller the number of people, too!)

Hall Bar/Buffet
The Hall Bar can be booked for events / functions in the Main Hall. There is a extra charge for this (subject to event/access) and we do need to know the times during which it is required so that bar staff can be booked to man it.

We also offer a Buffet service at £6 per head which contains a selection of savoury snacks and our classic cakes from the Brookfield Coffee Shop. (You will need to state you require a buffet and how many people you are hosting for with the Admin Officer to confirm we can fulfil requirements)

Main Stage – 10 metres wide x 5 metres deep (32’10” x 16’5”)
Access to the stage: is via the steps at the front and via steps on both sides of the back of the stage that lead from the Purple Room behind the stage.

The Hall has its own set of tables and chairs that hirers can set up in the room to suit their event. There is a sound system (microphones) that can be booked.

Weddings
The Hall is ideally suited for Wedding Receptions. It provides a lot of space that can be designed to suit the requirements of the Wedding Party. We do, of course, have tables and chairs that can be used. However, the attached photos show the Hall set out with tables, chairs and table settings that have been brought in for that special day. After the Wedding Breakfast the Hall can be re-arranged for more celebrations in the evening with, for example, a group or a disco on the stage. The large car park outside makes it so much easier for guests arriving and leaving.

Main Hall Kitchen ( Extra charge, please make the Admin Officer aware if you wish to add on)
The kitchen area, found in our Main Hall, comes with a fridge and two gas cookers and is suitable for keeping food for your occasion.

Kitchen Rules:

  • The kitchen must always be left clean and tidy – which is the way you would wish to find it.
  • Where food is being prepared by the hirer or his /her contractor they must carry appropriate insurance.
  • The cookers – the tops and the ovens – must be thoroughly cleaned after use and left in the state in which you would expect to find them.
  • All rubbish created by the hirer must be taken away and disposed of at home.

Room size: 11.8 x 7.2 metres (38’ 9” x 23’8”)

Fire certificate maximum numbers in the Meeting Room – 55. The room will comfortably seat up to 45

  • Hirers can arrange the tables and chairs to suit their needs
  • One wall has space on it for the showing of slides.
  • The internal doors at each end of the room lead into a corridor which goes through into the Lounge Bar from where drinks can be purchased during Bar opening hours in the Evening or by special arrangement with the Bar Manager.

What can the room be used for? Here are some of the current uses:
Family parties / Club meetings / Business meetings / Dance practice / Exercise sessions.

Room size: 11.8 x 8.6 metres (38’ 9” x 28’3”)

Fire certificate maximum numbers in the Purple Room – 80. It will comfortably seat up to 60.

A bright, airy room with windows along two walls. Hirers can arrange the tables and chairs to suit their needs The long wall opposite the main windows has space on it for the showing of slides.

A door at one end of the room leads into a corridor which goes through into the Lounge Bar from where drinks can be purchased during Bar opening hours in the evening or by special arrangement with the Bar Manager.

Food / drinks preparation area: Adjacent to the room is a small area with a sink for the preparation of drinks and for setting out food.

  • Next to this small area there is a disabled toilet.
  • Access to the stage.
  • A door inside the Purple Room opens onto one side of the back of the stage..
  • When stage productions are being put on in the Main Hall the Purple Room is often booked as a changing room and to allow the performers to enter “stage left”

Room size: 8.5 x 7.4 metres (24’ 4” x 27’11”)

Fire certificate maximum numbers in the Upstairs Room – 55. It will comfortably seat up to 40.

  • It is a bright, high ceilinged, airy room with windows along two walls.
  • If required there is a lift to the first floor.
  • Hirers can arrange the tables and chairs to suit their needs.
  • There is space on one wall for the showing of slides.

 What can the room be used for? Here are some of the current uses:
Family parties / Club meetings / Business meetings / Dance practice / Exercise sessions.

The Skittle Alley has two lanes and is used regularly on weekdays for matches in both the Summer and Winter leagues.

At weekends OR weekdays when it is not being used for League matches it is available for hire for private parties.

The spectator area will accommodate up to 40 people.
