DetailsGlevum Lacemakers have over 115 members, 70-80 of whom meet bi-monthly at Churchdown Community Centre. Our membership covers Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Somerset, Oxfordshire and even Norfolk!All types of lace are made – Torchon, Bucks, Bedfordshire, Needlelace, Milanese, Honiton etc. All abilities are welcome. It is a self-help group as no formal tuition is available although we try to encourage new lacemakers. Speakers and suppliers are arranged for several meetings per year some on lace/crafts some totally unrelated to lacemaking. There is a raffle at each meeting, a quarter of the money taken goes to the group’s Charity of the Year.
